Undergraduate students will learn about select topics in genomics, data science and cloud computing as would provide for undergraduate research experiences and add to their preparedness for career interests and possible graduate studies.
Undergraduate experiences within GRADS-4C include:
- Learning how genomic data is stored within a variety of data files, formats and those common databases that can be accessed and processed
- Hands-on experiences with accessing genomic data and implementing techniques in data analysis within a cloud-computing environment
- Presentation and networking experiences that enhance awareness and access for how they may further pursue opportunities at the nexus of genomics, data science and cloud computing
