Community Outreach K-12

Beyond research, GRaDS-4C is deeply committed to community engagement and scientific literacy. The center has hosted a variety of outreach initiatives, including “Genomics for All”—a workshop series designed to introduce high school and undergraduate students from underrepresented communities to the fundamentals of genome science and data analysis. Another notable event, “Code & Sequence,” provided hands-on training in bioinformatics tools and cloud platforms for aspiring data scientists. Through such programs, GRaDS-4C continues to cultivate the next generation of diverse scientists and promote equitable access to STEM education.
